Trust Act Introduced: County Police to Stay Out of ICE Enforcement

Councilmember Evan Glass is serving as co-lead on the Trust Act, legislation that reaffirms Montgomery County Police will not cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on immigration enforcement actions. The bill was introduced in the council and presented at a press conference. The legislation is intended to codify existing county policy on local-federal immigration enforcement cooperation.
