DHHS Seeks Volunteers for Jan. 28 Homeless Count

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking volunteers for its annual Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, scheduled for the overnight hours of Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026. Volunteers will be trained and deployed in teams to count unsheltered individuals living on streets, in vehicles, encampments, and other locations not meant for habitation. Deployment begins at 8:30 p.m. from two sites: the Activity Center at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg and the Silver Spring Civic Building in Silver Spring. Registration is required by Jan. 23, 2026.
