Ride On Flex Zone 918 Launches Sandy Spring–White Oak Service Feb. 2

Montgomery County Department of Transportation is launching Ride On Flex Zone 918 on Monday, February 2, 2026, extending the county's on-demand shared shuttle service to the Ednor, Sandy Spring, Norwood, and Cloverly communities, as well as New Hampshire Avenue between Route 108 and the White Oak Transit Center. The zone replaces most coverage previously provided by Metrobus Z2 and connects to the US 29 Flash BRT, Metrobus, and Metrorail. Service runs peak hours Monday–Friday, 6–10 a.m. and 2:30–7:30 p.m., at zero fare; trips can be booked via the Flex mobile app or by calling 240-301-3842.
