The Silver Spring Metro Red Line station adjacent to the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit Center will close to riders on or about January 17 through January 19, 2026, due to Purple Line construction. Shuttle buses will serve the Takoma and Forest Glen stations during the closure. Ride On Routes 12, 13, 14, 16, and 18 also provide service between the Transit Center and Takoma Station, and Route 8 connects to Forest Glen Station.
