Councilmembers Dawn Luedtke, Andrew Friedson and Evan Glass will introduce Bill 2-26 at the Jan. 20 Council meeting, which would allow the Montgomery County Green Bank to direct existing fuel-energy tax revenue toward climate resilience and adaptation projects, in addition to its current renewable energy and energy-efficiency work. The bill does not create a new tax and is described as budget neutral. A public hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24.
