County Values Act Would Bar ICE From County Facilities Without Judicial Warrant

Councilmember Kristin Mink introduced Bill 3-26, the County Values Act, on Jan. 20, 2026, which would require all county facilities to demand a judicial warrant before allowing ICE access to areas not open to the general public. The bill also prohibits immigration enforcement in county parking lots, garages, and vacant lots, mandates staff training and signage, and offers a signage template for private businesses. The bill is cosponsored by Councilmembers Stewart, Jawando, Evans, Friedson, Sayles, Glass, and Balcombe.
