Montgomery County residents are responsible for removing snow and ice from sidewalks on or adjacent to property they own, lease, or manage within 24 hours after a storm ends. MCDOT is separately responsible for clearing approximately 60 miles of sidewalks along County streets. Additional information is available on the County's Safe Sidewalks webpage.
