The Montgomery County Department of Transportation activated its Storm Operations Center at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, to respond to a winter storm. More than 500 pieces of equipment began plowing primary roads at 4 a.m. on Jan. 25, with snowfall expected to continue into the early afternoon. Residential roads will be addressed after primary streets are cleared, with crews working around the clock.
