MCDOT Plowing Near Complete; Up to 11.5 Inches Fell

Montgomery County Department of Transportation crews began plowing at 4 a.m. Sunday and have nearly completed residential streets after the storm dropped up to 11.5 inches of snow and sleet in some areas. Extremely cold temperatures have slowed progress, requiring emergency routes to be retreated and snow to be hauled from downtown Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Wheaton overnight. Residents can check the plowing status of their street by entering their address on the Winter Storm Information Portal.
