Rising Chefs Culinary Training Program Graduates New Class

Shepherd's Table hosted a graduation ceremony in January 2026 for the latest cohort of the Rising Chefs Culinary Skills Training Program, which trains participants for stable, livable-wage culinary careers. The program is run by Shepherd's Table, a Silver Spring nonprofit with more than 40 years of experience addressing food insecurity and homelessness in Montgomery County. Councilmember Sayles attended the event and highlighted the program's connection to farm-to-food-bank pipelines in the Agricultural Reserve.
