Ride On Flex Zone 918 Launches Sandy Spring–White Oak Service

Montgomery County Department of Transportation is launching Ride On Flex Zone 918 on February 2, 2026, providing zero-fare, on-demand peak-period transit service connecting the Sandy Spring, Ednor, Norwood, and Cloverly communities to the White Oak Transit Center via New Hampshire Avenue. The service operates weekdays only from 6–10 a.m. and 2:30–7:30 p.m., with no fixed schedules; riders must book trips through the Flex mobile app or by calling 240-301-3842. The new zone also restores coverage for most neighborhoods previously served by Metrobus Z2 and connects to Flash BRT and the Silver Spring Metro.
