Montgomery County's annual Point-in-Time (PIT) homeless count, originally scheduled for Jan. 28, has been rescheduled to the overnight hours of Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, following last week's storm. Volunteer orientation begins at 8:30 p.m. and the count itself starts at 10:30 p.m. Orientation sites are the Activity Center at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg and the Silver Spring Civic Building in Silver Spring. The effort is organized by the Montgomery County Continuum of Care in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services.
