Council Committee OKs Amendments to Viva White Oak TIF Plan

On January 28, 2026, a joint Council committee reviewed and amended the Tax Increment Financing plan for the Viva White Oak development. One amendment, introduced by Council President Fani-Gonzalez, directs TIF funds to construct a public park in the first development phase. A second amendment, proposed by Councilmember Mink, allows TIF bond proceeds to fund transportation improvements outside the development's physical boundaries. The full TIF plan is expected to go before the full Council for a vote later in February.
