Fani-González, Friedson Launch Five-Part Housing Package

Councilmembers Natali Fani-González and Andrew Friedson introduced the 'More Housing N.O.W.' (New Options for Workers) housing package on or around February 7, 2025. The five-part proposal includes a Workforce Housing Zoning Text Amendment, a Workforce Housing Opportunity Fund, an Office-to-Housing ZTA and Subdivision Regulation Amendment, an Office-to-Housing Tax Abatement Bill, and a doubling of the County's Homeowner Assistance Program investment. The Montgomery County Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the proposals on March 11, 2025.
