Fani-González, Friedson Unveil Five-Part More Housing NOW Package

Councilmembers Natali Fani-González and Andrew Friedson have introduced the More Housing N.O.W. package, a five-part legislative proposal to increase housing supply and expand homeownership pathways in Montgomery County. The package includes a Workforce Housing Zoning Text Amendment, a Workforce Housing Opportunity Fund, an Office-to-Housing ZTA and Subdivision Regulation Amendment, an Office-to-Housing Tax Abatement Bill, and a doubling of the county's investment in the Homeowner Assistance Program. The County Council will hold a public hearing on the proposals on March 11, 2025.
