Montgomery County Department of Transportation launched Ride On Flex Zone 918 on Feb. 2, 2026, adding on-demand shared shuttle service to the Ednor, Sandy Spring, Norwood, and Cloverly communities, as well as the New Hampshire Avenue corridor between Route 108 and the White Oak Transit Center. The zone replaces most neighborhoods previously served by Metrobus Z2 and connects riders to Ride On bus, US 29 Flash BRT, Metrobus, and Metrorail. Service runs Monday–Friday during peak hours (6–10 a.m. and 2:30–7:30 p.m.), is zero fare, and requires trips to be prescheduled via the Flex app or by calling 240-301-3842.
