Montgomery County has opened the Mobilize Montgomery Federal Workforce Career Center (FWCC) in Wheaton, described as the nation's first dedicated facility for displaced federal workers, offering job placement, career coaching, and financial counseling. The center is open Monday–Thursday 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. and Fridays 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted but appointments are recommended; job seekers can email fwcc@worksourcemontgomery.com or call 240-283-1509.
