$45M Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center CIP Heads to Committee

The EC Committee meets Feb. 19, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. to review the $45.2 million recommended FY27-32 CIP for the Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center, a $6 million increase over the prior CIP driven by updated general contractor cost estimates. The project calls for a new arts and cultural facility in the Wheaton Arts and Entertainment District along Georgia Avenue, paired with a mixed-income development of up to 320 multifamily units in two buildings, 39 townhomes, 15,000 square feet of office space, and the arts center itself.
