County Launches $750K Food as Medicine Grant Program

The Office of Food Systems Resilience and Office of Grants Management opened the FY2026 Food as Medicine Grant Program on February 20, 2026, making $750,000 available for healthcare and clinic-led programs. Awards ranging from $100,000 to $300,000 will support recurring food access for Montgomery County households with children ages 0–18 that screen positive for food insecurity and include a diet-related disease diagnosis. The grant performance period runs May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027, with a possible one-year renewal.
