The Education and Culture (EC) Committee will meet Feb. 23, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. to review the $2.79 billion FY2027-2032 Capital Improvements Program requested by the MCPS Board of Education. The County Executive's recommended CIP is $2.14 billion — $652.3 million less than the Board's proposal. The committee will discuss non-recommended reductions requested from MCPS Superintendent Thomas Taylor to align the Board's CIP with the County Executive's assumed General Obligation Bond totals.
