200+ Fallen Trees Reported After Storm, MCDOT Responds

Montgomery County has received reports of more than 200 fallen or downed trees across the county following a winter storm. MCDOT crews are working alongside Pepco to respond to the incidents, with wind expected to increase the number of downed trees overnight. Snow removal operations are winding down with county-wide clearing expected to be complete by 6 p.m. on February 23, 2026.
