Community Action Board Testifies on Five State Bills in Annapolis

Community Action Board members and staff traveled to Annapolis on February 5, 2026, for the Maryland Community Action Partnership's (MCAP) Advocacy Day, meeting with members of the Montgomery County Delegation and sharing state-level priorities. The Community Action Board's Advocacy Committee has submitted testimony in support of five state bills, including measures on community school meal eligibility, good-cause eviction protections, earned income tax credit expansion, a local child tax credit, and a financial empowerment center network pilot. The committee meets every other week during the 90-day General Assembly session.
