Correction and Rehabilitation CIP Jumps $93M for New Justice Center

The Public Safety (PS) Committee will meet March 2, 2026 at 10:15 a.m. to review the $105 million FY2027-2032 CIP for the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation. The recommended amount is a $92.9 million, or 13.9 percent, increase over the amended FY25-30 CIP, driven by updated cost and schedule estimates for a new Justice Center to be built on County property north of Wootton Parkway and east of Seven Locks Road. The CIP also includes the Montgomery County Correctional Facility Refresh Project, covering medical unit modifications and inmate cell vent remediation.
