Six Honorees Named to 2026 Montgomery County Sports Hall of Fame

Montgomery County has announced its Class of 2026 Sports Hall of Fame inductees: Willie Allen, John Bunting, Warren Crutchfield (posthumous), Bill Dixon, Betty Holston Smith, and the Academy of the Holy Cross girls' basketball team (1977–82), which holds the county's longest-ever winning streak at 115 consecutive games. The free, public induction ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veterans Place, Silver Spring. Doors open at 3 p.m.
