The PHP Committee will review ZTA 26-04 on March 9, 2026, which would eliminate the 150,000 square foot minimum for mixed-income housing communities and raise the minimum dwelling unit count from 30 to 50 units, allowing smaller projects to qualify for expedited approval. The amendment would also extend eligibility to projects using 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, in addition to existing 9% LIHTC projects. Lead sponsors are Councilmembers Friedson and Sayles.
