Council to Vote on $4M EV Charging Station Expansion at 23 Sites

The Montgomery County Council is expected to hold a public hearing and vote on March 10, 2026, on Supplemental Appropriation #25-89, a $4,011,055 grant-funded allocation for the Department of Environmental Protection. The funds—from two state grant awards plus matching requirements—will be used to design and build electric vehicle charging stations at 23 locations across the County. Partner agencies include MCDOT, the Department of General Services, the City of Rockville, the City of Takoma Park, and Montgomery County Public Schools.
