PHP Committee Reviews $165.7M Recreation CIP, Turf Replacement

The Planning, Housing and Parks Committee meets March 16, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. to review 12 projects within the $165.7 million FY2027–2032 Capital Improvements Program for Recreation, a 27.46 percent increase over the prior CIP. Cost escalations in recreation facility refurbishment projects drive most of the increase. One new project would install a natural grass field at North Potomac Community Center to replace aging artificial turf.
