FY27 Budget Expands Ride On, Adds Burtonsville Flash Service

County Executive Elrich's FY27 budget continues the Zero Fare Ride On bus system and expands Burtonsville Flash Bus Rapid Transit to all-day service. Ride On FLEX service is extended to Poolesville and Damascus, and the budget proposes two new GROWTH Districts—with up to a 0.75-cent countywide property tax and up to a 15-cent tax on commercial properties near planned BRT corridors—to fund future transit and infrastructure improvements, with revenue collection beginning in FY28.
