FY27 Budget Boosts WorkSource, Opens Upcounty Job Center

Elrich's FY27 budget allocates $3.4 million for WorkSource Montgomery, a 7.8% increase, and includes $597,000 for the BioHub Maryland life sciences training center. The budget also increases Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation funding 9% to $5.7 million and provides $2.9 million for small business training and support services. A new Upcounty American Job Center is slated to open under the proposal.
