EC Committee Holds Third Review of $2.79B MCPS Capital Improvements Plan

The Education and Culture (EC) Committee will hold its third meeting on March 19, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. to conduct a project-by-project review of the FY2027-2032 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) for Montgomery County Public Schools, which the Board of Education has requested at more than $2.79 billion. The Board's proposal represents an increase of more than $1 billion over the FY25-30 amended CIP of $1.76 billion. The County Executive's recommended CIP of $2.14 billion is $652.3 million less than the Board's proposal.
