UMD Health Computing Institute Planned Near North Bethesda Metro

A major life-sciences and mixed-use development is planned at the North Bethesda Metro station, anchored by the University of Maryland's Institute for Health Computing. Montgomery County has committed $40 million toward the institute and a 15-year tax abatement through a WMATA PILOT for housing units in the project. The development is a public-private partnership involving the State of Maryland, Montgomery County, WMATA, and a private developer.
