County to Receive $1.21B in State Aid from 2026 Session

Council President Natali Fani-González issued a statement on April 14, 2026 thanking the Montgomery County Delegation for their work during the 2026 Maryland General Assembly legislative session. The county is set to receive more than $1.21 billion in state aid to support schools, public safety, health and social services, and economic initiatives. The delegation secured funding for priorities including the redevelopment of the 4th District Police Station in Glenmont, as well as capital projects for Montgomery County Public Schools and Montgomery College.
