Purple Line Construction Advances Key County Capital Projects

MCDOT is serving as the primary day-to-day construction liaison for the Purple Line light rail project, overseeing several county-funded capital projects tied to the 16.2-mile corridor between Bethesda and New Carrollton. County projects include the Capital Crescent Trail, the Bethesda South Metro Entrance, and the Silver Spring Green Trail. The corridor will provide connectivity to four WMATA Metro stations.
