Free Tax Assistance Available at County Libraries Through Tax Day

Free tax assistance is available to Montgomery County residents at several public libraries and through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program ahead of the April 15, 2026 tax deadline. Volunteers can help residents file for the federal and Maryland Earned Income Tax Credit as well as the county's local Working Families Income Supplement. Residents can find service locations and individual tax services through county-provided resources.
