CAI Participants Practice Testimony at Mock Council Hearings

Participants in the Community Advocacy Institute (CAI) practiced advocacy by presenting original three-minute testimony at two mock hearing sessions held in a County Council hearing room. Community Action Board members, CAI Ambassadors, and volunteers served as the mock Council and provided feedback. Next month, participants will complete their advocacy projects by testifying before the County Council or Board of Education, submitting written testimony, or meeting with elected officials.
