Middle Schools Can Enter 'Paint the Plow' Contest by April 10

Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is accepting registrations through 5 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, for its fifth annual 'Paint the Plow' competition, open to all public middle schools in the county. Participating schools will design and name a snowplow following this year's theme, 'Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,' with prizes of $500, $300, and $200 awarded to first, second, and third place. MCDOT will deliver plows to schools between April 16 and pick them up May 14, with completed plows displayed for public vote at the free Truck Day event on May 16 at 17000 Crabbs Branch Way in Rockville.
