Maryland Tree Planting Incentive Program Opens April 30 for Farmers

The Maryland Department of Agriculture's Tree Planting Incentive Programs open for applications on a rolling basis starting April 30, 2026. Farmers may apply to the Conservation Buffer Initiative to install riparian forest buffers with pasture fencing, with an incentive of $4,500 per acre. The program is administered by the Maryland Department of Agriculture.
