DEP Stormwater Maintenance Transfer Program Open to HOAs, COAs

Montgomery County DEP's Stormwater Maintenance Transfer Program allows homeowner associations and community associations that maintain stormwater facilities in common areas to transfer structural maintenance responsibilities to Montgomery County. The HOA or CA would retain nonstructural duties such as trash removal, grass cutting, and landscaping, while the county absorbs potentially costly structural repairs. Property ownership remains with the association.
