Council Briefed on FY27 Operating Budget Key Elements

The Montgomery County Council will receive a briefing on April 7, 2026, on key elements of the County Executive's recommended FY27 Operating Budget, which was transmitted to the Council on March 13. The briefing will cover revenue growth, total recommended expenditures, and proposed changes to property tax, income tax, solid waste disposal policy, transportation special taxing districts, MCPS funding levels, and county reserve use. The Council is expected to adopt the FY27 Operating Budget in late May, with the budget taking effect July 1.
