Virtual Workshop on Purple Line BiPPA Sidewalks Near Long Branch, Manchester Place Stations

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public workshop on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. to present proposed Bicycle and Pedestrian Priority Area (BiPPA) sidewalk improvements near the Long Branch and Manchester Place Purple Line stations in Silver Spring. The project proposes 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalks on multiple road segments within a half-mile radius of each station, along with crosswalks, curb ramps, and other pedestrian amenities. The public comment period runs through Thursday, May 14, 2026, with comments accepted via online form or email to Project Manager Lori Main at Lori.Main@montgomerycountymd.gov.
