MCDOT Plans Safety Upgrades at Veirs Mill Road–Newport Mill Intersection

As part of the Veirs Mill Road Bus Rapid Transit project, MCDOT has announced safety improvements at the Newport Mill intersection, including a new crosswalk on the south leg, a sidewalk along the south side of Veirs Mill Road, and upgraded LED street lighting. The department stated it is actively working to accelerate implementation, though right-of-way constraints may affect the scope of some improvements.
