County Announces $1.7M in Hate Crime Prevention Security Grants

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and County Council President Natali Fani-González will announce $1.7 million in FY26 security grants to 95 local nonprofit and faith-based organizations on Monday, April 20 at 12:30 p.m. An additional $500,000 was requested in March in response to threats tied to the ongoing conflict with Iran, bringing the total for the fiscal year to $1.7 million. The announcement will be held at the Isiah 'Ike' Leggett Executive Office Building in Rockville.
