MCDOT Holds Virtual Workshop on Purple Line BiPPA Sidewalks Near Long Branch, Manchester Place Stations

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public workshop on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. to present proposed Bicycle and Pedestrian Priority Area (BiPPA) sidewalk improvements near the Long Branch and Manchester Place Purple Line stations in Silver Spring. The project proposes 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalks, crosswalks, curb ramps, and other pedestrian amenities on dozens of road segments within a half-mile radius of each station. Public comments may be submitted online, by email to Project Manager Lori Main, or in writing by May 14, 2026.
