2026 Wet Season Remains Closed as Water Table Falls Short

The Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services has closed the 2026 Wet Season for soil evaluations after water table levels fell below required thresholds. The season, which typically begins in the first quarter of the year, has not opened, and DPS stopped accepting Soil Testing applications after April 6, 2026. DPS staff are monitoring precipitation and groundwater conditions and will notify customers by email and on the DPS website if the season opens.
