TRUST Act Introduced to Bar County Police from ICE Cooperation

Councilmember Evan Glass and colleagues introduced the TRUST Act, which would clarify that Montgomery County police will not participate in federal immigration enforcement or cooperate with ICE on civil immigration matters. The bill is intended to strengthen trust between immigrant residents and local law enforcement. It has been introduced but has not yet been voted on.
