Ride On Buses Display Rosa Parks Commemorative Cards in December

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation is marking Rosa Parks Day and the anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott by placing special interior commemorative bus cards on the entire Ride On fleet of nearly 400 buses throughout December 2025. Rosa Parks Day is observed annually on December 1, the date in 1955 when Parks refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus. MCDOT cited transit equity as a guiding principle of the commemoration.
