Samsung Biologics Buys GSK Rockville Campus for $280M

Samsung Biologics has announced the purchase of GSK's Rockville manufacturing campus for $280 million, marking the South Korean company's first U.S.-based manufacturing site. The deal preserves more than 500 existing jobs and is expected to expand production capacity. County Executive Marc Elrich issued a statement crediting the acquisition to collaborative efforts between Montgomery County, the State of Maryland, and the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation.
