County Executive Marc Elrich signed County Council Expedited Bill 31-25, Landlord-Tenant Relations – Landlord Notice Requirements – Evictions, into law on December 15, 2025. The new law requires landlords to notify tenants 14 days prior to a scheduled eviction. Councilmembers Kristin Mink and Will Jawando joined advocates and Community Action Board Vice Chair Timothy Robinson at the signing ceremony.
