VITA Free Tax Help Appointments Open January 5; Volunteers Needed

The Community Action Agency's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will open appointment scheduling for the 2026 tax season on January 5, 2026. VITA is also recruiting volunteers to serve as tax preparers, schedulers, greeters, quality reviewers, and interpreters at sites in Rockville, Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, and Wheaton through mid-April. All volunteers receive free IRS certification training.
