County DEP Urges Reduced Road Salt Use This Winter

The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection is reminding residents that excess road salt damages waterways, wildlife, and plants. DEP recommends shoveling promptly, applying no more than 12 oz. of salt per 10 sidewalk squares, sweeping up excess, and reusing it.
